CASA OLEA HOTEL IS THE RESULT OF THE RENOVATION OF AN OLD ABANDONED VICARAGE.
The building itself is from the 19th century and whilst excavations were under way for the swimming pool, a Neolithic Copper Age (2000 B.C) necropolis and the ruins of a Roman residence were discovered.
Entering into the reception hall offers an impressive view into this history where you will see the top of the ‘nevera.’ In former times, this cavity, which is 5 metres deep, was filled with snow in the winter to preserve food in cool temperatures throughout the year.
